Position Overview
As a Recruiting Team Lead, you will drive talent delivery across the Energy, Engineering, and Manufacturing sectors while leading and developing a high-performing team of recruiters. This is a player-coach role – you will lead by example as an individual contributor while driving performance as a team leader.
You will partner closely with Business Development leadership to align recruiting strategy with client demand and position your team to consistently deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters, with the strategic mindset and operational bandwidth to scale the team as business demands grow
- Set clear performance expectations, monitor weekly activity metrics, and maintain accountability frameworks that drive consistent recruiter output
- Coach recruiters on sourcing strategy, candidate engagement, pipeline management, and full-cycle execution
- Carry a personal requisition load while modeling best practices in sourcing, screening, and candidate delivery
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial outreach and screening to interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for high-demand skill sets within Energy, Engineering, and Manufacturing
- Partner closely with Business Development and hiring teams to understand client needs, job requirements, and hiring priorities
- Leverage ATS, CRM, and AI-assisted tools to manage pipelines, track candidate activity, and drive data-informed decisions across the team
- Support and drive leadership’s vision and overall mission of The Planet Group
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Full cycle recruitment experience within Energy, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing staffing
- At least two years of team lead or supervisory experience managing a recruiting team with demonstrated ability to build the structure, habits, and accountability frameworks needed to support team expansion
- Proven track record of developing recruiters and driving measurable improvements in team performance and output
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience monitoring team activity, reporting on KPIs, and motivating production
- Skilled at cultivating and managing candidate pipelines across technical and industrial disciplines
- Familiarity with AI-assisted recruiting tools and platforms; ability to integrate AI into team workflows to increase efficiency, improve candidate engagement, and support data-driven decision-making
- A problem solver – analyzing and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
- High level of ambition, resilience, and adaptability; able to navigate ambiguity and lead through change
- ATS experience required;

- Base salary range: $60,000 - $80,000; commensurate with experience and past success
- Competitive commission structure based on weekly spread
