Position Summary

As an HR Business Partner, you will support field leadership by executing core HR processes and providing day-to-day HR support across multiple locations. Reporting to the HR Director, this role is responsible for handling employee relations matters, supporting talent processes, and ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and accurately.

This role requires a high execution profile with strong administrative capabilities, including the ability to manage a high volume of requests, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure timely follow-through on all HR-related activities. The HRBP will focus on operational excellence, compliance, and responsiveness to business needs.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented executor who can manage competing priorities, support leaders with HR processes, and maintain consistency across a large, multi-site environment.

HR Business Partner Success Factors
  • Proven track record of collaborating and communicating effectively with field leaders, COE's, and HR Directors/HRBPS to drive positive outcomes.

  • Demonstrates strong execution and follow-through while maintaining high attention to detail, ensuring tasks and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

  • Effectively manages high-volume workloads, including employee relations cases, leader inquiries, talent reviews, and administrative processes.

  • Data literate with strong business acumen, capable of providing insightful analysis and recommendations.

HR Business Partner

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports leaders and employees with day-to-day HR needs, including policy interpretation, performance management, employee relations, and general HR inquiries.

  • Supports employee relations team in investigations and complex employee issues, recommends/implements courses of action based on investigation results.

  • Maintains accurate and timely updates in HR systems and ensures all HR documentation is completed accurately and within required time frames.

  • Supports new store openings, acquisitions and staffing activities by coordinating HR-related tasks and documentation.

  • Conducts field visits as needed to support execution of HR processes, provide guidance to leaders, and supports team members.

  • Partners with HR COE to ensure proper handling of escalations and specialized HR processes.

  • Tracks and reports on basic HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, and employee relations trends with field and leadership teams.

  • Ensures consistent application of company policies and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or equivalent experience required.

  • 4+ years of HR experience in high-volume, multi-site environments (supporting at least 500–1,000 employees).

  • Experience in retail, distribution, warehouse, grocery, or similar operational environments with a fast-paced, front-line workforce is preferred.

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to handle employee relations issues with appropriate documentation and risk awareness.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, etc., which govern employment policies and practices.

  • Strong business acumen with competency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Power BI, etc.)
