Summary of Job

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office (DAO) stands at the forefront of modern, reform prosecution and is committed to recruiting and hiring talented, diverse professionals across all levels of the organization. The Recruiting Coordinator supports this mission by working closely with the Recruiting Manager, Chief of Staff, and Executive team to develop and implement comprehensive recruiting strategies and protocols. While the role is heavily focused on legal recruiting, including law students, interns, and attorney hiring, responsibilities may also extend to recruiting business professionals such as paralegals, victim advocates, IT professionals, researchers, etc.

Serving as the primary point of contact for the On-Campus Interview (OCI) process, the Recruiting Coordinator manages a high volume of applications generated through partnerships with law schools, recruiting events, and the DAO’s careers page. Key responsibilities include sourcing and reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews with the Executive team and Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs), collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, registering for OCI and organizing legal recruitment events, coordinating travel, extending offers or rejections, preparing candidates for onboarding, and maintaining precise and accurate documentation.

  • Register for and schedule nationwide OCI law school events, maintaining strong communication with university partners and recruiting stakeholders. Maintain the annual OCI recruiting calendar.
  • Coordinate with the DA’s Executive Assistant and co-facilitators of the DAO’s recruitment team (henceforth referred to as "the recruitment travel team"), who oversee on-campus recruitment and speaking events for the DA.
  • Create job postings and source candidates through the DAO Career page, Flo Recruit, Symplicity, and 12

    Twenty as part of the OCI process. Serve as the main point of contact and subject-matter expert for Symplicity, 12

    Twenty, Docu Sign, and Flo Recruit on behalf of the DAO.
  • Provide virtual support to the recruitment travel team, including communications with law students and law school administrators, managing travel itineraries and bookings, processing job offers, updating the recruitment tracker and SharePoint, scheduling interviews, coordinating office visits, and responding to inquiries.
  • Build and maintain personnel files for new hires, and prepare new class binders for the Executive team. Partner with HR, IT, and Office Services to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
  • Create, update, and send out quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc surveys that gather information from new hires and internal staff.
  • Serve as a backup to the Recruitment Manager by assisting in Business Professional recruiting and providing additional support as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and thorough attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through on all assignments.
  • Ability to respond quickly and promptly, problem solve effectively, and manage urgent situations that enhance workflow efficiency.
