Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits Associate in Chicago, IL.
The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience with ERISA and employee benefits, including qualified plans, multiemployer pension plans, health and welfare plans, and ACA compliance.
M&A and/or restructuring experience within the employee benefits practice area is preferred.
Duties- Advise on ERISA and employee benefits matters.
- Assist with qualified plans and multiemployer pension plans.
- Ensure compliance with ACA regulations.
- Support M&A and restructuring activities related to benefits.
- 1-4 years of experience in ERISA and employee benefits.
- Experience with M&A and/or restructuring in benefits.
- Background in tax or labor/benefits advising is advantageous.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
- Bar admission in Illinois preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
