The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees at Vitalizing Business Solutions. This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance with federal and state regulations, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while delivering exceptional service to employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including salary, hourly, and commission-based staff.
  • Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Calculate and process deductions such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and finance teams.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax with holdings, and direct deposits.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audits.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on compensation changes, new hires, and terminations.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 and tax filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Paycom payroll software.
    • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Paycom software and tools
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
