Regulatory Compliance Specialist
For our client, we are seeking a Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting to join the team of a leader in the Legal & Accounting space. This role will lead lateral partner recruiting strategy and execution in support of the firm’s growth objectives. The Director will partner closely with leadership to identify expansion opportunities, build strong external relationships, and guide the full recruitment lifecycle for high-impact legal talent.
The position also requires active market awareness and competitive intelligence to help the organization attract top partners and practice groups.
Location:
Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $225,000 – $325,000 annually
Responsibilities- Develop a recruitment strategy aligned with the firm’s growth objectives.
- Drive the full recruitment lifecycle for lateral partners.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities.
- Proactively source and maintain relationships with top partner candidates.
- Monitor legal market trends and provide competitive intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of legal recruiting or related leadership experience, preferably in an Am Law 100 firm.
- Significant experience recruiting lateral partners or entire practice groups for law firms.
- Strong understanding of law firm economics, partner mobility, and profitability metrics.
- Established relationships with law firm partners and legal recruiters.

- Travel required to different firm locations as needed.
