GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for planning, leading, directing, coordinating activities, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. This position oversees designated Affiliate HR staff and reports to the Regional HR Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIESThe responsibilities and duties described in this job description are intended to provide a general overview of the position. Duties may vary depending on the specific needs of the affiliate or location you are working at and/or state requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serves as a key member of the leadership team providing counsel and input on HR and people strategy for the Department.
- Leads a wide range of human resources duties with oversight of multiple affiliate locations that includes strategic planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change and performance management, leadership development and coaching, and department communications.
- Collaborates with corporate compensation team on salary and pay rate review requests, offering guidance and recommendations to support equitable pay decisions.
- Partners with Regional Directors, Affiliate leaders, HR Business Partner, and Employee Relations Center of Excellence to manage, review and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Collaborates with HR leadership to develop and implement short- and long-term human resources plans.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs and Partners with Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Assists with assimilation of newly acquired groups within respective region and partners with HR leadership for the onboarding of new practices/tuck‑ins.
- Leads a wide range of Human Resources focus groups and workflow analysis.
- Partners closely with affiliate leadership on the development of action planning for staff retention.
- Partners with HR Operations in the development of polices and procedures.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and works with Regional Directors to modify policies and practices to maintain compliance as necessary, including Employee Handbook Addendum annual review.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Attends required meetings including local Executive and Board meetings (as invited) as well as Affiliate Physician Quarterly/Annual meetings
- Conducts/participates in New Hire Orientation as needed.
- Participates in 401k management, meetings, concerns, audits.
- Works with other members of the senior leadership team on standardization across all platforms.
- Performs other position related duties as assigned.
- Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients’ protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA);
immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
