About the Role

Warehouse Now is seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused Office & HR Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Chicago office while supporting the company's human resources needs.

This position will play an important role in creating an efficient, welcoming workplace and supporting employees throughout their time  ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, and comfortable balancing office administration with day-to-day HR responsibilities.

Responsibilities Office Management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Chicago office
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming workplace
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, deliveries, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Serve as the primary contact for building management, maintenance, and office-related needs
  • Coordinate team lunches, meetings, company events, celebrations, and employee recognition initiatives
  • Identify and implement improvements to office processes and organization
  • Assist with additional operational and administrative projects as needed
Human Resources
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, equipment, orientation, and internal announcements
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
  • Support recruiting by posting open positions, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate background checks, employment verification, and new-hire documentation
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding company policies, benefits, time off, and general HR questions
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and communicate with benefits providers and external HR partners
  • Track employee time off, attendance, performance reviews, and other HR-related timelines
  • Support employee relations and performance management processes in partnership with leadership
  • Help develop, communicate, and consistently apply company policies and procedures
  • Assist with employee engagement and company culture initiatives
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources, office management, people operations, or a related role
  • Experience with employee onboarding, HR documentation, benefits administration, and recruiting support
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on responsibilities
  • Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
  • Approachable and able to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
What We're Looking For

The right person for this role notices what needs to be done and takes initiative to handle it. You should be equally comfortable answering an employee's HR question, coordinating a new hire's first day, planning a company event, and ensuring the office runs smoothly. This is a full-time position requiring on-site attendance at our Chicago office five days per week.
