Chicago, IL | Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Hourly Wage: $31.00–$33.00 per hour

Position Overview

Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is seeking an organized, people-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team.

This role is responsible for managing and administering the hotel's talent acquisition process while supporting associate benefits, training, development, onboarding, and performance management initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with strong recruiting experience, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to creating a positive associate experience throughout every stage of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process, including identifying departmental hiring needs, posting positions, sourcing candidates, interviewing, reference checks, referrals, background checks, drug testing, final interviews, and onboarding.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand staffing needs and support recruitment efforts across the hotel.
  • Maintain and update recruitment documents and candidate information within ADP.
  • Facilitate portions of new hire orientation and conduct full orientation meetings when necessary.
  • Assist associates with benefits enrollment and claims, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual Benefits Open Enrollment process.
  • Educate eligible associates on available benefit programs and enrollment procedures.
  • Conduct benefits meetings for new associates during orientation.
  • Communicate benefit and insurance program changes, updates, and procedures to eligible associates.
  • Follow up on benefit-related questions, claims, and outstanding items in a timely manner.
  • Support the administration and management of ACA requirements.
  • Assist with associate training and development opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate associate development plans.
  • Support the performance management process.
  • Attend general and departmental meetings as required.
  • Maintain associate confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with associates, candidates, guests, and members of the community.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Experience
  • Minimum of one year of Human Resources experience required.
  • Previous talent acquisition or recruitment experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and 401(k) plans.
  • Understanding of benefits enrollment, administration, and associate counseling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively use computer systems to access, input, analyze, and retrieve information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with associates and leadership.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and professionally when handling sensitive or challenging associate concerns.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Professional, approachable, and service-oriented demeanor.
