FX QA Test Lead

Title: FX QA Test Lead

Location: Chicago, IL - 333 S Wabash - onsite 3 days per week

Duration: 12 months with extension; contract-to-hire is the goal

Remediation program for back-office FX systems

Time-sensitive (upcoming deadlines), so candidates must already understand trading concepts as training on this would take too long

• Capital Markets / Financial Services experience - STRONG MUST HAVE
• SQL - VERY STRONG, HANDS-ON: Ability to connect tables, perform joins, functions, slice/dice data
• Programming: Any language acceptable, preferably Java or Python
• Databases: Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, SQL
• Automation: Strong automation background; ability to improve and speed up test cases;
  Dev Ops / CI-CD exposure preferred

• This is not just a QA Manager or people leader
  -hands-on technical Lead
• Will guide both manual and automation QA teams

• Test strategy and test plans
• Execution timelines
• Stakeholder communication
• Problem-solving without being spoon-fed
• Looking for someone self-motivated with ownership mentality

• SQL depth
• Ability to explain database logic
• How candidates think through testing use cases and problem-solving

• Weak SQL skills
• Lack of ownership and ability to independently reason through testing scenarios
• Too much reliance on being guided vs. leading

• FX-specific experience is highly preferred
• Someone who can juggle multiple projects and stakeholders is key
