ServiceNow Test Automation

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Automated Tests:
  Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Service Now ATF to validate Service Now applications, configurations, and customizations. This includes functional, regression, and potentially performance testing.
• Test Scenario And Case Creation:
  Collaborate with stakeholders (business analysts, developers) to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and create detailed test cases. Identify, document, track, and manage defects identified during testing, working with development teams for timely resolution.
• Conduct automated regression testing for Service Now upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure platform stability and prevent unintended impacts. Execute end-to-end test scenarios, including validating integrations with third-party applications and ensuring data flow accuracy.
• Process Improvement:
  Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, recommending best practices for Service Now test automation. Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and test results to relevant stakeholders.
• Service Now Expertise:
  Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, product owners) throughout the software development lifecycle, participating in Agile ceremonies.

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and Service Now test automation.
• Strong knowledge of the Service Now platform, including various modules (e.g., ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, GRC/TPRM), configurations, and workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF), including designing, building, and maintaining automated test cases and suites.

• Familiarity with server-side scripting (e.g., JavaScript within Service Now) for advanced test scenarios is often required.
• Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes of issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
