The API Management Platform Engineer II helps design, build, and maintain the API strategy across EDAA. They are focused on scalability and delivery to enable API powered data movement across the organization. This role develops the governance, documentation, and self-service tools needed to ensure APIs are secure, available, and aligned with best practices to unlock a robust API ecosystem.

• Build and maintain a scalable and secure API management infrastructure to support business needs and platform growth
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of APIs across the platform
• Develop monitoring strategies and tools to ensure platform availability, performance, and scalability
• Support the enforcement of security best practices, including access controls, data encryption, and adherence to regulatory requirements
• Assit in identifying performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations for response times and resource utilization
• Provide support for production issues, troubleshoot, and implement fixes to maintain platform stability and availability
• Work closely with Dev Ops, security, and data engineering teams to align platform solutions with business goals
• Document processes, platform configurations, and architecture to enhance team knowledge and onboarding

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field Strong experience in API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong, Mulesoft) and microservices architecture
• Minimum 3 years in API management, platform engineering, or software engineering in a data-driven environment
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD).
• Skilled in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, .NET) with a solid understanding of RESTful API principles
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and API security protocols (OAuth, JWT), with a focus on security best practices
