The Platform Engineer performs a critical role delivering the core capabilities and features of a strategic platform. This position will be responsible for the delivery of platform enablers including the design, build, security, and operationalization of reusable components in support of business products. The Platform Engineer is expected to maintain deep technical knowledge of capabilities and features to create platform patterns and technical best‑practices with the goal of increasing adoption, operational efficiency, and realized business value for Financial Services.

The level of work required is considered advanced.

• Drive design, engineering, implementation, and configuration of platform services to support overall enterprise patterns and reinforce best practices
• Develop patterns for common platform needs (e.g. logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, encryption, tooling, etc.) across all layers of the platform and supporting services
• Deliver explicit APIs and abstractions that offer flexibility for application developers in leveraging the platform
• Work with business and technology partners to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of the Salesforce platform integrations
• Partner with Information Security representatives to develop, implement, and/or execute security configurations and controls
• Support and refine the utilization strategy for the platform and enhance its overall architecture, security, performance, and financial aspects
• Contribute to platform, product, and architectural roadmaps and platform administration
• Perform development of common Salesforce platform components, capabilities, and features
• Perform advanced configuration activities including custom objects and fields, dashboards, reports, workflows, rules, automations, and triggers
• Have experience with Salesforce screen flow and login flow
• Create integrations and/or connectors between  and other third‑party applications
• Manage the core security model configurations in accordance with information security
• Provide Tier 3 support for core platform services and configuration defect resolution
• Perform new Salesforce release evaluations and assess impact
• Develop and maintain automation for deployments to reduce manual processes and improve efficiencies across systems and data centers
• Lead solution design discussions, develop work‑effort estimates for implementation, and present solutions
• Draft and maintain solution documentation for platform components, integrations, and common use patterns to meet all architectural, security, and operational requirements as defined by the larger client system
• Provide training, coaching, and support for issues relating to the Salesforce platform to experience and product team

• Must have experience in Salesforce security model
• Must have experience in Salesforce integration patterns
• Must have experience in Salesforce flow optimization
• Experience in Data Cloud is preferred

• The candidate should be fluent in modern Dev Ops practices, familiar with source‑driven development, Salesforce CLI, experienced with CI/CD pipelines, and able to manage sandbox strategies, versioning, branching models, and automated testing

• Proficient with Apex classes, triggers, asynchronous processing and batch jobs
• Experience with data loader is preferable
• Understand governor limits, performance optimization, and secure coding on the Salesforce platform

• Understanding of large data volumes, indexing, and query performance
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce limits, multi‑object architecture, and scalable patterns
• Expertise in schema optimization and sharing/model security
