Position SummaryWe are seeking a Service Now Product Architect to define and lead the technical architecture of the Service Now platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and maintainable as the organization grows. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into resilient, future-ready solutions aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
As the organization’s Service Now thought leader, you will provide deep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, SPM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, and Sec Ops
, driving maximum value and long-term platform success. This is a fully remote role.
- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing Service Now solutions, including the surrounding technical ecosystem (middleware, data pipelines, security layers).
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, platform best practices, and Service Now’s implementation framework.
- Create and communicate architectural blueprints, integration patterns, data models, and platform guardrails for both technical and business audiences.
- Lead technical design sessions and guide implementation of new modules (e.g., CSM, FSM, HAM, SAM), enhancements, and integrations.
- Ensure solutions are maintainable, reusable, upgrade-ready, and aligned with out-of-the-box Service Now capabilities.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance and mentorship to developers, administrators, and configuration specialists.
- Establish and enforce platform standards, naming conventions, smart customization strategies, and environment governance.
- Lead technical design and code review processes for customizations, integrations, and enhancements.
- Oversee platform health, including performance, security compliance, upgrade readiness, and continuous optimization.
- Manage and optimize Service Now licensing by tracking usage, ensuring compliance, and advising stakeholders on cost-effective adoption.
- Partner with business and IT leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions that drive measurable business value.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Service Now capabilities, roadmap planning, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, system owners, and integration teams, including Service Now and partner technical teams.
- Design, oversee, and document integration architecture connecting Service Now with internal and third-party systems using MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and related technologies.
- Oversee CMDB architecture and data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Ensure integrity of foundation data (users, groups, locations, organizational structures).
- Guide data migration, reconciliation, and federation strategies using systems of record or mastered data sources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- 7–10+ years of Service Now experience across architecture, development, and multiple modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, SPM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, Sec Ops).
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable, and upgrade-ready Service Now solutions.
- Hands-on experience leading technical design sessions and mentoring Service Now developers and administrators.
- Strong expertise in integrations (MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, data pipelines).
- Experience overseeing CMDB and foundation data with CSDM alignment.
- Ability to define and enforce platform standards, governance models, and smart customization strategies.
- Strong collaboration and advisory skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Service Now certifications such as CSA, CIS, and/or CTA
