Foreign Exchange Specialist

Overview

Location: Downtown Chicago, IL (3x week hybrid onsite. no exceptions)

We also have FX roles involving BAs and Product Owners

FX QA situation:

• The goal for this FX team is modernization, not continuing legacy practices. The current testing approach is “archaic”.
• The existing FX QA lead is strong but is spread across multiple teams. QA leadership today spans all Capital Markets (horizontal model) which causes constant reprioritization across programs.
• We seek a dedicated FX QA Lead. Someone who owns QA strategy only for FX.
• Additonal FX Business Analyst and Product Owner roles are coming.

QA Lead – Day-to-Day Expectations:

• Own QA strategy across five FX agile teams.
• Expected to:
• Standardize testing approaches

FX Experience Requirements:

• Must have front-office FX experience ….Back-office FX is not sufficient
• Needs familiarity with FX trading platforms and real trading behavior
• Must have experience engaging directly with traders
• The QA Lead must understand:
• How trades actually occur
• Why certain test cases would never happen in real markets
• Must be a hands-on “player-coach”. Not a “meeting only people manager,” but they are hands-on and know how to do the work themselves.
• 5–10 years' experience
• Enough experience to lead and influence others independently, but not so senior that they only want to manage people
• Needs to demonstrate authority to enforce best practices across FX teams.
• Need someone strong enough to say: “This is how we should be doing QA”
