Business Analyst

We are currently partnered with an innovative cybersecurity tech startup in Chicago that is looking for a Technical Business Analyst.

This is a full-time and fully on-site position at their downtown Chicago office.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, own, and document requirements while supporting the delivery of technical solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating business needs into clear technical documentation and takes ownership of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Own end-to-end requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, needs, and objectives
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, workflows, and process diagrams
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented accurately
• Support requirement refinement, change management, and traceability throughout delivery
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and reviews as needed to clarify scope and expectations

• Experience working as a Business Analyst in a technical environment
• Strong ownership mindset over requirements and documentation
• Experience with technical writing and producing clear, structured documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

• Experience working with software development teams
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Experience documenting APIs, data flows, or system integrations (a plus)
