Job Summary
Design, plan, and implement information technology (IT) audit programs based on risk assessments. Plan and lead IT audit engagements and provide IT guidance and support for technology risk related to all audits. Conduct comprehensive reviews of IT systems and processes to identify potential risks and control weaknesses. Document findings, prepare detailed audit reports, communicate results to the County's bureau/department heads and senior leadership.
Monitor recommendations to ensure successful implementation of corrective actions. Work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure best practices are implemented throughout the County. Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO, etc.). Stay updated on new technologies and industry standards to enhance audit procedures. Identify and support the application computer assisted audit techniques (CAAT) for all audits.
This position is Actively Recruited and At Will.
This position may be eligible for a signing bonus.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a directly related field is required.
- Four (4) years as an IT Auditor or directly related experience is required.
- In good standing as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
- Possession of a valid driver s license is required.
- This position is considered a safety-sensitive position. Candidates who are selected to fill safety-sensitive positions must pass a required drug test as part of the pre-employment background check process.

* Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and ability to apply internal audit standards, IT risk assessment and governance frameworks, and cybersecurity standards (NIST, COBIT, ISO, and COSO).
- Knowledge of and experience applying the GAO Yellowbook and the IIA Redbook internal auditing standards.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws, ordinances, and regulations relating to financial operations, records, and auditing.
- Skill in organizing information in a logical manner to support audit results.
- Ability to balance multiple competing projects and task efforts with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats to objectively and tactfully communicate with IT and non-IT staff while maintaining professional skepticism and confidentiality throughout audits.
- Skill in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
