Hours are 6:30am to 4p daily with one Saturday a month 6:30a to 12p
Reports to: Executive Vice President of Technology
Role: Technology leader, accountable for creating a healthy Information Technology department, software engineering execution, AI implementation, infrastructure reliability, and cross‑business alignment and collaboration.
Role OverviewYou have an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Information Technology department in which you will assist in leading the vision as well as shape the next evolution of custom software, AI development, data and analytics, and infrastructure.
We are seeking a high-caliber, high-energetic technology leader. This role is designed for a software expert who can bridge the gap between distributed software applications and stable infrastructure and operations while driving successful business outcomes. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership, software engineering, AI development, deep people leadership, and collaboration with the business leaders — building a healthy, high‑trust engineering culture while translating business needs into clear technical outcomes.
CoreResponsibilities
- Software Engineering Mastery:
Lead by example by being deeply proficient in developing high-quality code and managing the modern development lifecycle. - System Design & Architecture:
Design scalable, reliable systems that ensure custom software integrates seamlessly with our underlying infrastructure. - Strategic Vision:
Create and execute a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s growth and future needs. - Business Alignment:
Act as the primary link between technology and the business, identifying pain points and solving real-world problems through technical innovation. - Collaborative Leadership:
Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication across both the development and infrastructure departments. - Performance
Coaching:
Challenge the team to excel by providing direct feedback and mentoring the next generation of technical talent. Cultivate an environment where people can do their best work.
- Demonstrated success building healthy culture, developing leaders, and improving team execution.
- 10+ years in software engineering development and leadership with a proven track record.
- Through understanding of the full stack on application development.
- Practical understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud operations.
- Experience modernizing custom applications with the latest technology.
- Excellent communication and business alignment skills; able to translate between business and engineering.
- 90 days: Build healthy relationships with teammates; build strong relationships with business segments; learn the existing processes, data, applications, systems and infrastructure.
- 6 months: Own the delivery of system and applications, shipping initial AI-driven capabilities.
- 12 months: Maturing engineering culture, strong business user trust, measurable impact from AI and application development.
