Job DescriptionJob Summary
The Senior / Lead Conversational AI & Digital Payments Solutions Engineer is responsible for leading the design and delivery of conversational AI, digital payment, and contact center solutions across mobile, web, and messaging channels.
This hands-on technical role bridges architecture, development, and integration while coordinating closely with cloud, UX, product, and third-party vendors.
The engineer will design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that enhance customer experience and support intelligent, automated interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end solution architecture, including design blueprints for conversational AI, web chat, voice bots, and digital payment solutions.
- Own solution planning from build through integration and deployment, coordinating dependencies and vendor deliverables.
- Design and architect API integrations between internal platforms, payment gateways, external systems, and cloud services.
- Deliver IVR, web chat, and AI-powered virtual assistant solutions integrated with backend systems, APIs, and analytics platforms.
- Contribute hands-on development for chatbot/web chat or cloud-native web applications when needed.
- Partner with cloud teams (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and high-availability requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, and security frameworks including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, UX, and business SMEs to translate business/CX requirements into technical designs.
- Provide technical leadership, governance, and best practices for conversational AI and digital payments solutions.
- Support Agile delivery workflows using Jira, Confluence, or Azure Dev Ops.
- 8+ years of hands-on technical experience with Contact Center / CX platforms.
- Proven experience delivering IVR, web chat, and AI-powered conversational solutions.
- Experience building digital payment solutions for mobile, web, and messaging channels.
- Strong experience with APIs, REST, JSON, XML, and OAuth authentication.
- Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience integrating multiple payment gateways.
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with Netomi or Live Person SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of Conversational AI, NLP/NLU, and LLMs.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI platforms (OpenAI, Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock).
- Experience in prompt design, data preparation, testing, and feedback loops.
- Understanding of voice UX, customer journey mapping, and persona design.
- Experience with API documentation and testing tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI or Postman.
