Trading Engineer

Overview

Our client, a leading technology-driven trading firm, is looking for a Trading Engineer to join their strategy development team. This role is essential for maintaining the performance and reliability of their trading systems while providing high-quality technical support to traders and developers.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to proprietary trading applications
• Communicate incident updates and resolutions to users in a timely and effective manner
• Monitor and analyze trading system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues
• Ensure system stability and uptime during trading hours
• Develop automation tools and scripts to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes
• Conduct detailed investigations into complex system behaviors to determine root causes and implement optimizations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in application support, site reliability engineering, or managing high-performance systems
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment is required
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus), databases (SQL and Mongo
  
  DB), and data-driven analysis is a plus
• Familiarity with enterprise Linux distributions such as CentOS, RHEL, or Rocky Linux is preferred
• Self-motivated with a strong passion for engineering and technical problem-solving
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, traders, and other stakeholders
