Summary
The Senior IT Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and governing the service, benchmarking and planning continuous improvements across a complex, multi-domain infrastructure organization within enterprise IT. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, planning, execution, and operational excellence—ensuring infrastructure services are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned to business priorities. You will partner closely with IT leadership, functional infrastructure teams, and enterprise stakeholders to drive transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
This is an opportunity to influence how infrastructure investments are planned, delivered, measured and optimized across the enterprise.
- Drive the infrastructure service portfolio strategy across Infrastructure Communications, Infrastructure Platforms, and Enterprise Multimedia domains, ensuring alignment with functional teams, enterprise IT and business objectives
- Lead portfolio-level project and operational resource management, including demand planning, capacity planning, and prioritization across infrastructure teams
- Manage infrastructure budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance, including OpEx and Cap Ex oversight
- Establish and operationalize a cloud-based Fin Ops capability, partnering with IT, Procurement, and accounting to drive cost transparency, optimization and accountability
- Define, implement and maintain KPIs and metrics for infrastructure services, projects and operations; provide executive-level reporting and insights
- Partner with the IT PMO to align on project intake, delivery governance, roadmap planning and execution tracking
- Collaborate with IT Operations and Infrastructure functional teams to support reporting and visibility for incident, problem, change, vulnerability and service performance management
- Serve as a key liaison across IT domains including Core IT Applications, IT Support, IT Operations, IT Compliance and Security, Data & AI, and Business Applications
- Engage with business stakeholders such as Accounting, HR, Marketing, Litigation Support, Records Management and Docketing to align infrastructure services with business needs
- Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes, tooling and governance models
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience and education of the selected candidate. Target Salary Range$175,000 - $195,000 if located in Illinois

Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure portfolio, service, financial and resource management roles
- Experience owning service strategy, budgeting, KPI development and executive reporting within an IT infrastructure organization
- Experience working in internal IT environments as well as external client delivery within a professional services organization or model
- Demonstrated ability to work across complex, matrixed organizations with multiple technical and business stakeholders
- Executive reporting and presentation skills
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or Management Information Systems
- Experience with Infrastructure Platform solutions including Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and on-premise data centers, among others
