We are seeking a Legal Operations professional to join our team in Chicago. This role will play a critical part in optimizing legal processes, leading contract lifecycle management (CLM) initiatives, and driving successful implementations of legal technology solutions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and experienced in partnering with Legal, IT, and business stakeholders to scale legal operations.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage Legal Operations initiatives to improve efficiency, visibility, and scalability across the Legal function
- Lead CLM system implementations, enhancements, and ongoing optimization efforts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for CLM tools, including configuration, workflows, reporting, and user adoption
- Partner with Legal, Procurement, Sales, IT, and Finance to streamline contract processes end-to-end
- Manage implementation projects from requirements gathering through deployment and post-launch support
- Develop and maintain legal metrics, dashboards, and reporting related to contracts and legal operations
- Create and document legal processes, playbooks, and best practices
- Support change management, training, and onboarding related to legal systems and tools
- Identify opportunities to automate and standardize legal workflows
- Proven experience in Legal Operations
- Hands-on CLM experience (e.g., Ironclad, Icertis, Agiloft, Docu Sign CLM, or similar)
- Demonstrated implementation experience, including leading or supporting system rollouts
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate legal and business requirements into technical solutions
- Must be located in Chicago, IL
- Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm
- Familiarity with contract workflows across Sales, Procurement, and Vendor Management
- Experience working with cross-functional technology teams
- Legal operations certifications or project management certifications are a plus
