Job Description & How to Apply Below

Venture Search is proud to partner with a leading global proprietary trading firm operating at the intersection of technology, mathematics, and markets. Their success is driven by building some of the fastest and most reliable trading systems in the world, and we’re looking for exceptional engineers to help push the boundaries even further.

As a C++ Software Engineer, you will work on mission-critical, ultra-low latency systems that operate in highly competitive environments where nanoseconds matter. You’ll collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and other engineers to design, optimize, and evolve high-throughput platforms that directly impact trading performance.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Designing and developing low-latency, high-throughput C++ systems
  • Performance optimization across the stack: CPU, memory, networking, and OS
  • Building and tuning HPC-style architectures for real-time workloads
  • Profiling, benchmarking, and eliminating performance bottlenecks
  • Writing clean, modern C++ for systems that demand correctness and speed
  • Working with cutting-edge hardware and Linux-based environments
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong professional experience in modern C++ (C++17/20 or later)
  • Deep understanding of low-level systems programming
  • Proven experience with performance optimization and profiling
  • Solid knowledge of computer architecture, concurrency, and memory models
  • Experience with Linux internals, networking, or kernel-adjacent work
  • Ability to reason about performance trade-offs in complex systems
Nice to Have
  • Background in proprietary trading, HFT, or market-driven systems
  • Experience with lock-free programming, custom allocators, or SIMD
  • Familiarity with RDMA, TCP/UDP tuning, or FPGA-adjacent workflows
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
