Senior Azure DevOps Engineer; Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

A technology-driven organization is seeking a Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineer to support and evolve its cloud infrastructure and deployment practices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and systems reliability, with strong experience in both Azure and Linux environments.

This engineer will help ensure that cloud systems are scalable, secure, and efficiently deployed, while partnering with development teams to streamline delivery processes.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines to support consistent and reliable application releases
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and system reliability
• Manage system configuration, updates, and patching using automation and configuration management tools
• Support containerized workloads and assist with orchestration in Kubernetes-based environments (AKS preferred)
• Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud infrastructure and operating systems
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting for infrastructure and deployment-related issues
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and operations teams to improve deployment workflows and system reliability
• Document infrastructure designs, processes, and operational standards

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, or systems engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, and security services
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar
• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, Git Lab, or similar platforms
• Strong background in Linux system administration (e.g., Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS)
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Power Shell, or Python
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, particularly in cloud-hosted environments
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and performance optimization for cloud systems
• Knowledge of security and compliance practices in cloud environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or other managed Kubernetes platforms
• Exposure to serverless or event-driven cloud services
• Experience supporting networking and secure connectivity in cloud environments
