Akkodis is seeking a M365 Subject Matter Expert for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL (Remote). A candidate must have deep expertise in administering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and securing the M365 ecosystem through Entra advanced security configurations.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
M365 Subject Matter ExpertJob Responsibilities Include
- Manages Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and overall M365 tenant configurations.
- Oversees Entra management, MFA, Conditional Access, and role‑based access controls.
- Implements Zero Trust security practices and maintains a strong secure‑score posture across the environment.
- Configures Defender for Office 365, Purview DLP, and other M365 security and compliance solutions.
- Automates administrative and reporting tasks using Power Shell to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Provides L3 support, handles complex troubleshooting, and works closely with security and infrastructure teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Candidate must have 10+ years of hands‑on experience in M365 administration, security, identity management, and enterprise‑level collaboration platforms.
- Candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in managing Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and securing the M365 ecosystem through Entra M365 security tools.
- Candidate will have proven capability in implementing Zero Trust controls, maintaining compliance posture, automating administration with Power Shell, and handling L3 support for complex issues.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
