About

The Role

As VP, Operations, you will set the vision and strategy for mission‑critical operations across the firm. You will oversee the design and execution of resilient operational infrastructure, ensure the reliability of real‑time data systems, and lead a high‑performing team. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, with the ability to both architect long‑term operational excellence and respond swiftly to real‑time challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
    Define and execute the company’s operations strategy, ensuring resilience, scalability, and continuous improvement across Technology Operations, Data Operations, and Customer Support.
  • Infrastructure & Tech Ops Excellence:
    Lead the development of robust monitoring, alerting, and incident management systems to ensure reliability and scalability of mission‑critical technology operations.
  • Operational Governance:
    Establish KPIs, escalation frameworks, and SOPs for mission‑critical operations, including both technical and customer‑facing functions.
  • Incident Command:
    Oversee incident management protocols, ensuring rapid recovery, clear communication, and post‑mortem learning.
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment:
    Partner with executive leadership, engineering, and product teams to align operations with business priorities and technical requirements.
  • Team Building:
    Recruit, develop, and mentor a world‑class operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years in operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven success leading mission‑critical operations in fast‑paced, high‑availability environments.
  • Expertise in technology operations, real‑time monitoring, and incident management.
  • Strong technical foundation in cloud environments and monitoring/incident management tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, Pager Duty, etc.).
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at the executive level.
  • Track record of building high‑performing teams and scaling operational capabilities in growth‑focused organizations.
