Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Chicago, IL (hybrid)

We are looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join the Technology and Engineering organization. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on senior individual contributor with strong analytical thinking, deep technical aptitude, and the ability to partner closely with development, security, infrastructure, and architecture teams. This role focuses on building, operating, and improving Dev Sec Ops  platforms and pipelines to ensure code, services, and products move seamlessly from development through testing and into production.

• CI/CD Automation & Operations:
  Design, build, and operate Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub Enterprise pipelines with embedded quality and security gates (SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning) to improve release speed, reliability, and deployment safety across Agile teams.
• Cloud & Container Engineering:
  Build, manage, and operate Docker-based workloads and Kubernetes environments (AWS EKS), including scaling, upgrades, cluster health, image governance, runtime security, and operational best practices.
• Infrastructure as Code:
  Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines with automated validation, policy enforcement, compliance checks, and drift detection across AWS and Azure environments.
• Security & Dev Sec Ops  Enablement:
  Implement and maintain secure SDLC practices, automated security scanning, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation workflows in partnership with development and security teams.
• Observability & Reliability:
  Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards; support incident response and root‑cause analysis; and continuously improve platform reliability, availability, performance, and recoverability.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of hands‑on Dev Ops and software engineering experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Skills:
  
  Strong experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Enterprise, YAML pipelines, Git, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), AWS, and Azure. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Power Shell, and Python.
• Certifications:
  
  Cloud or Dev Ops‑related certifications are a plus.
• Other:
  Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineering teams and leadership.

• Experience enabling AI‑assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot across multiple stages of the SDLC.
• Experience with automated testing solutions and integrating test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Solar Winds, or Splunk.
• Experience with additional programming languages such as Golang or C++.
