Department OverviewThis opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald’s works. We provide outstanding foundational technology products and services including Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. It’s our goal to always provide an engaging, relevant, and simple experience for our customers.
The GTIO Senior Manager is a key partner for the Technical Product Manager, End User Infrastructure & Operations. Develop connections with clients and partners to understand their needs, help in improving end user infrastructure, and promote continuous enhancement of End User Infrastructure & Operations services. This individual provides internal team governance to ensure team priorities align with the overall team strategy.
This role will be instrumental in implementing the team vision of locally relevant and globally consistent end-user infrastructure platforms, services, and capabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology guide to contribute to crafting the evolution of infrastructure and operations offerings for the entire McDonald's ecosystem.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:- Build and participate in forums to ensure timely two-way communication between the End User Infrastructure & Operations (EUIO) team and markets, business units, and other multi-functional teams. Identify and address opportunities to improve communication.
- Develop deep understanding of all aspects of the EUIO platforms and capabilities offering, including global standards, prerequisites, and limitations for adoption.
- Maintain EUIO standards documentation and playbooks with input from EUIO team leaders; provide mentorship and assistance to markets as they adopt EUIO standards (services, platforms, other capabilities).
- Own and improve the EUIO team’s metric collection and releasement management processes.
- Own and lead the EUIO team's intake process for general EUIO inquiries and ad-hoc requests.
- Understand McDonald’s current support landscape of tools, processes, standards, automation, monitoring, hardware, and more.
- Continuously seek feedback and evaluate EUIO’s operational processes to uncover opportunities for the EUIO team to deliver faster, better, and more efficient solutions for our partners.
- Support the EUIO team in their Agile/Jira practices. Lead bi-weekly sprint sessions and sprint reviews.
- Support EUIO leadership in developing arguments for new initiatives, in sourcing proposals, etc.
