Analytics & Business Intelligence Analyst

Cohesion is a smart building technology company offering a suite of software products, AI solutions, and advisory services that integrates people, systems, and spaces for real estate, providing seamless solutions for modernized security access control, smart maintenance, enhanced people experiences, and energy management.

In this role, you will support our Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams by translating smart building and operational data into clear insights that inform business decisions. This role is focused on operational performance and smart-building analytics, not deal underwriting or transaction execution. You will work cross-functionally to build analyses, ROI narratives, and data-driven stories that support clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

This is a high-pace, startup environment. Our hours are not always standard, but we believe strongly in flexibility, autonomy, and ownership. The ideal candidate is hungry, curious, and energized by ambiguity, with a strong instinct for when data does not align with real-world building behavior.

• Analyze smart building and operational data including occupancy, utilization, energy usage, system performance, and operational cost drivers
• Translate building-level data into portfolio-level insights for clients and leadership
• Identify anomalies, data quality issues, and inconsistencies where metrics do not align with real-world operations
• Build ROI models and impact analyses tied to operational outcomes such as cost savings, efficiency gains, sustainability improvements, and user experience
• Develop client-facing and executive-ready presentations that tell a clear story with data
• Support sales prospecting and partner conversations with data-driven insights and custom analyses
• Work with marketing to validate performance claims, benchmarks, and case studies using credible data
• Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from senior leadership with speed, accuracy, and sound judgment
• Clearly communicate assumptions, limitations, and tradeoffs in all analyses
• Pressure-test conclusions and challenge narratives when the data story does not make sense

• 3–5+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, operations, consulting, or a related role
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated business judgment
• Proven ability to tell a compelling story with data for non-technical audiences
• Experience building ROI models and operational impact analyses
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong instinct for identifying errors and flawed assumptions
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Data visualization experience, turning analysis into executive-level presentations
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities

• Experience working with smart building, operational, or IoT-derived data
• Experience supporting sales, marketing, or client-facing teams
• SQL experience or comfort working directly with structured datasets
• Experience in commercial real estate, proptech, or enterprise SaaS environments
