Security Technology Lead

Project Overview

The Northern Trust Company is looking for a Consultant who can wear multiple hats including engineer and analyst. Hopefully who can converse with Business in business language to understand and document work and then subsequently carry out the work on Upgrade work on a select security technologies. Consultant needs to be part of a team that develops a product impacting tens of thousands of customers.

Help with or seek help in designing, implementing, integrating, testing and deploying features and components in a large‑scale system. We expect you to drive improvements to code quality, performance, and team processes while leveraging modern web technologies and tool.

Experience Level: Sr. Level - A minimum of 8 years in IT experience with at least two of those years focused on Application Security is required.

  • Windows System Vulnerability and Cloud Security
  • Python Scripting
  • Azure AD and RBAC
  • Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Purview
  • Powershell Scripting
• Soft Skills:
  • Should be able to Analyze, design and develop data loss prevention policies
  • Technically versatile and savvy, either with experience in multiple technologies, and/or the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • In-depth understanding of information security and software development
  • Practical experience with security and authorization principles

• Application Security Experience with Azure Active Directory (AD)
• Experience with Shell Scripting for automating repeatable tasks and installations
• Knowledge of server operations and maintenance
• Understanding of cloud terminology, architecture, and tools to include installing, provisioning and monitoring

86 - 96 USD hourly

The above listed pay range is a good faith estimate of what the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position.
