The Director, Product Information is responsible for defining and executing Zoro’s product information strategy across its endless assortment. This role owns the consistency, quality, and scalability of product data that powers discovery, navigation, conversion, and downstream channels across a $1.2B B2B eCommerce business.

This leader will oversee two complementary teams:
Product Information Foundations – and Product Data Enrichment. A core mandate of this role is defining and delivering a multi-year AI-powered product information roadmap, leveraging machine learning and generative AI to dramatically improve speed to market, data accuracy, and consistency across millions of SKUs. The Director partners closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Merchandising, UX, and Category Management teams to solve complex, ambiguous data challenges and unlock scalable solutions.

• Own the end-to-end product information strategy, spanning ingestion, authoring, normalization, governance, and enrichment
• Define experience-led product data standards that support intuitive navigation, findability, and confident purchasing for B2B customers
• Define and lead the multi-year AI roadmap for Product Information, focused on applying machine learning and generative AI
• Establish and evolve enterprise-wide product information standards, taxonomy, and information architecture
• Drive scalable product data enrichment through suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party data aggregators
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organization spanning product data foundations and enrichment teams

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Fields in Information Science, Library Science, Data, or Business preferred
• 10+ years of experience in product information management, data platforms, information architecture, or related domains
• 5+ years of experience in eCommerce or large-scale digital platforms
• Demonstrated success leveraging AI, machine learning, or automation to scale product data or content operations
• Deep understanding of PIM/MDM systems, data governance, and taxonomy best practices
• Proven people leader with experience managing managers and scaling teams
• Strong strategic thinking paired with the ability to execute in complex, ambiguous environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
