Why This Role ExistsTalbot Health Services relies on stable, secure technology to support clinical care, operations, and public trust. This role exists to ensure that systems work, access is controlled, and Talbot’s digital footprint is maintained professionally and responsibly.
This position combines hands‑on IT administration with ownership of Talbot’s digital platforms from a technical and security standpoint. The focus is execution, reliability, and compliance, not marketing strategy.
What You Will Be Responsible For Core IT OperationsYou will be responsible for keeping Talbot’s systems functional, secure, and accessible.
- Microsoft 365 user accounts, permissions, and security groups
- EMR account creation, access control, and troubleshooting
- Telehealth platform setup and ongoing functionality
- Training and credentialing platform access management
- Day‑to‑day technical troubleshooting for staff
You will ensure staff have the tools they need to work effectively.
- Computer setup and deployment for new hires and replacements
- Printer and workstation configuration
- Software updates and basic security patching
- Equipment troubleshooting and replacement coordination
You will support internal communication systems.
- VoIP account setup and maintenance
- Phone number assignments and routing support
- Basic phone system troubleshooting
Technical Ownership, Not Marketing
This role owns Talbot’s digital platforms from an IT and access‑control perspective.
- Edit and format leadership‑approved content for platform compatibility
- Publish approved content to Talbot’s social media platforms
- Maintain login security and credential control for all online accounts
- Monitor access permissions and recovery settings
- Support basic website updates when assigned
- Ensure all published material complies with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
You are organized, dependable, and methodical.
You notice when systems are slightly off before they become problems.
You understand that access control and confidentiality matter as much as uptime.
You follow process and document what you do.
You are comfortable working independently while supporting a busy healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments
- Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or actively completing degree
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with EMR or EHR platforms
- Experience publishing or managing professional social media or web content
