Azure Engineer Cloud Architect

Job Description:

The Information Technology Division manages, implements, and supports the overall technology requirements within the client s organization. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for creating a technology framework and providing technical leadership in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on designing systems and services on cloud platforms.

Core Responsibilities:

• 12+ years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including cloud architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).
• Experience with Dev Ops tool chains and processes.
• Develop deployable cloud design patterns based on AJG application portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance for mid and junior-level staff.
• Design solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and automation of cloud applications.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, conduct performance analysis, and evaluate architectural alternatives.

Key

Skills & Experience:

• Exposure to multiple technologies and processing environments
• Strong understanding of network and Windows/Linux server architecture
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Power Shell, Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of high availability, networked storage, and disaster recovery concepts
• Experience with SSO software (AADConnect, ADFS, Okta, etc.)
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or other cloud providers
• Excellent communication and client-facing consultative skills
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Systems Analysis, or equivalent experience
