Compliance Monitoring Analyst

As a Compliance Monitoring Technical Analyst, you will design, build, and maintain technical solutions that support the organization’s regulatory and internal control compliance programs. Reporting to the Manager of Compliance Monitoring, you will develop automated workflows, data integrations, dashboards, and reporting tools that enhance monitoring, surveillance, and decision‑making across the Compliance organization. You will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure scalable, efficient, and well‑architected solutions that follow development best practices.

• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows for data extraction, processing, and transformation into standardized data models.
• Develop and manage end‑to‑end data pipelines supporting compliance monitoring and control testing automation.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualization tools for monitoring programs.
• Deliver automated reporting for management, senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and regulatory audiences.
• Apply engineering best practices including code review, testing, documentation, and technical writing.
• Optimize existing data assets and develop new technical solutions that enhance compliance analytics.
• Assess analytics processes and recommend architectural improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to gather requirements, obtain data, and clearly communicate technical solutions.
• Manage multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment while balancing shifting priorities.
• Escalate issues to the Manager, Compliance Monitoring as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 3–5 years of experience in software development, data analytics, or quantitative analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (Python, R, or MATLAB).
• Advanced SQL skills, including experience writing optimized complex queries.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets and data structures.
• Familiarity with API protocols and data extraction from REST APIs.
• Experience building dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical communication skills.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and Dev Ops principles in a data context.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience in fintech or the broader financial services industry.
• 2+ years of experience in Risk or Compliance functions.
• Knowledge of object‑oriented programming (C++/Java).
• Experience with Splunk or cloud data services (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with workflow/orchestration tools (Airflow, Alteryx, Power BI) or Unix/Windows job scheduling.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Git-based version control.
• Experience with generative AI, agentic AI tools, or prompt engineering.
• Understanding of statistics/quantitative analysis and applying analytics in business environments.
