** The Workday Success Plans Team is dedicated to helping customers realize ongoing value from their Workday Financials applications after go-live. We design and deliver targeted programs that drive adoption, optimization, and measurable business outcomes across the Workday platform.
Within Success Plans, this role focuses on Workday Financials – Record to Report. Our customers rely on us as trusted advisors to help configure, optimize, and extend their core accounting and close processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the financial lifecycle.

** About the Role
** As a Workday Financials (Record to Report) Functional Consultant – Workday Success Plans, you will work directly with customers post go-live to ensure they are fully leveraging their Workday Financials investment.

You will serve as a hands-on functional expert across Record to Report, providing configuration guidance, troubleshooting support, and best-practice advisory services. This role blends deep Workday Financials configuration expertise with customer-facing consulting and enablement, helping customers optimize accounting operations and period close processes.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in the tenant, partnering closely with customers, and helping finance teams drive consistency, control, and insight through Workday.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Consulting & Advisory
* Deliver appointment-based consulting engagements (e.g., Office Hours, micro-consulting sessions) focused on Record to Report configuration and optimization
* Partner with customers to understand accounting, close, and reporting requirements and translate them into scalable Workday Financials solutions
* Provide design options, configuration recommendations, and best-practice guidance aligned to Workday standards and accounting principles

Configuration, Security & Troubleshooting
* Configure, review, and optimize Workday Record to Report functionality, including:  + Financial Data Model (FDM)  + Financial Accounting  + Accounting Journals  + Allocations  + Consolidations  + Intercompany Processing  + Period Close  + Multicurrency  + Financial Statistics
* Configure and review Workday Financials security, including domain security, business process security, and role-based access to support proper controls and segregation of duties
* Troubleshoot complex configuration, security, and data issues; identify root causes and recommend optimal solutions
* Perform configuration and business requirements reviews, producing clear deliverables outlining findings, risks, and optimization opportunities

Customer Enablement & Adoption
* Design and deliver feature demonstrations, Accelerator Webinars, and enablement sessions focused on Record to Report processes
