Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually
This is a customer-facing role.
We’re looking for a senior-level API expert who thrives in direct customer engagement and wants more than a support queue.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of our CMS API platform used by FCM partners to power large-scale Account, Order, and Operations workflows in live trading environments. You will work directly with external customers, product leaders, and engineers to solve complex technical issues, design better solutions, and continuously improve API performance and reliability.
If you enjoy digging into FIX messages, protocol buffers, distributed systems, and production troubleshooting — and you’re comfortable leading technical conversations with prospects, customers, developers, and executives — this role is built for you.
What You’ll Do:- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for API customers
- Support our CMS, Web, and FIX APIs in production environments
- Diagnose and resolve API errors, rejections, and performance issues directly with clients
- Lead customer-facing architecture discussions and solution design sessions
- Lead API conformance testing and version control across releases
- Build tools and documentation that improve the external developer experience
- Act as the technical bridge between customers, product, engineering, and leadership
- Advocate for customer needs while protecting platform integrity
- Strong experience with distributed systems and full SDLC
- Hands-on knowledge of FIX 4.2 / 4.4
- Deep experience with Google Protocol Buffers
- Experience in futures, commodities, or trading systems
- Proven experience in customer-facing technical roles
- Ability to troubleshoot live production environments calmly and methodically
- Strong communicator who can lead both deep technical discussions and executive-level conversations
- Experience working with global teams
- Bonus: PMP certification and Jira/Zendesk familiarity
