Role Overview
  • Schedule: 1st Shift (9a-5p CST);
    Monday through Friday
  • Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Your Mission as a PC Depot Technician

You will play a key role in imaging, configuring, securing, and maintaining computer workstations and peripheral equipment. You’ll support inventory operations, ensure smooth technology deployment, and help users adopt equipment safely and effectively.

Core Responsibilities
  • Configure computer workstations and peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
  • Inspect computer hardware (HDD, keyboards, mice, etc.) for proper functionality.
  • Install and configure required software applications based on specifications.
  • Maintain local networks for reliable performance and uptime.
  • Ensure security and privacy across systems, devices, and network configurations.
  • Provide user orientation and training on new equipment and software.
  • Coordinate upgrades and maintenance schedules to avoid workflow disruptions.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including part replacement and debugging.
  • Build, image, and maintain efficient client workstations and network components.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and maintenance plans.
  • Identify equipment shortages and initiate ordering requests.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage shipping and receiving of depot computer equipment.
  • Handle physical and logical hardware inventory using Helix, Teams, and other depot tools.
  • Create and maintain Depot Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) and process documentation.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma and 2–3 years of experience in PC system support or equivalent training.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Licenses & Certifications

Preferred

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, and networks.
  • Knowledge of internet security and data privacy best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical staff, asset managers, and end users.
  • Imaging experience in a depot environment is a plus.
