Director of Product, Supply Chain Analytics

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: 1–2 days onsite per week)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Compensation: $175-200K base + ~18% bonus

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Product to lead strategy, innovation, and execution for a suite of retail and supply chain analytics products
. This role will own the product roadmap, partner with engineering and commercial teams, and drive development of data-driven solutions that help clients transform complex supply chain data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of product leadership, supply chain expertise, analytics experience, and commercial acumen
. You will play a critical part in shaping next-generation capabilities that support retailers, consumer goods organizations, and enterprise clients.

What You’ll Lead & Deliver

As Director of Product, you will drive the vision and outcomes for a portfolio of analytics products, with responsibility for:

Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and own the product strategy and long-term roadmap for supply chain analytics solutions.
  • Identify market needs, industry trends, and innovation opportunities across retail, CPG, and logistics.
  • Transform customer and industry challenges into clear product requirements and business cases.
Product Development & Execution
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-functional execution.
  • Write detailed business, functional, and reporting requirements for new features and data products.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and global delivery teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Client & Commercial Enablement
  • Support commercial teams with demos, value narratives, use cases, and proofs of concept for prospects and clients.
  • Partner with sales and client delivery teams on revenue-driving initiatives and adoption strategies.
  • Gather ongoing market and customer feedback to shape continuous product improvement.
Data, Analytics & Competitive Research
  • Document and understand complex data flows, data products, and analytical frameworks.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify differentiators and emerging opportunities in supply chain technologies.
  • Translate analytical outputs into meaningful business outcomes for enterprise users.

The Director of Product will produce measurable results, including:

  • New and enhanced analytics capabilities that elevate client decision-making.
  • Increased adoption and commercial traction of supply chain analytics products.
  • Clear, scalable product frameworks that support innovation and global expansion.
  • Transformation of raw supply chain data into actionable insights that improve performance and efficiency.
Required Experience

Candidates must have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in analytics, supply chain, enterprise SaaS, or data products.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations
    , logistics, retail/CPG workflows, or large-scale data-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrated success defining, launching, and scaling commercial analytics products.
  • Experience translating business needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder management ability.
  • Experience partnering with sales, commercial, client delivery, or customer success teams
    .
Preferred Background

Not required, but strong pluses:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Operations Research
    .
  • Experience with retail or CPG datasets
    , syndicated data, demand planning, or supply chain visibility tools.
  • Familiarity with competitive supply chain platforms, benchmarking tools, or analytics innovations.
  • Experience working across global or offshore teams.
  • Understanding of dashboarding, BI tools, or analytical storytelling (Tableau, Power BI helpful but not required).
