JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Cloud Engineer is a senior member of the Infrastructure team responsible for designing, engineering, operating, and supporting Inspere

X’s hybrid and public cloud environments. This role takes a software-engineering approach to infrastructure, bridging development and operations to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions. As a technical leader, you will drive major cloud initiatives, operationalize new and existing services, and partner closely with application, data, and business teams across the enterprise. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Delray Beach, Chicago, New York, or Charlotte preferred for in-office work; remote may be considered

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure and services supporting the Inspere

    X Hybrid Cloud.
  • Lead the operationalization of cloud platform services, including monitoring, logging, automation, integration, and documentation.
  • Engineer and support highly available, scalable application solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure.
  • Act as a senior technical interface between infrastructure, application development, and internal business stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate platform alerts, incidents, deployment issues, and security-related events.
  • Participate in an on-call escalation rotation to support production systems.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices using tools such as Terraform, Python, and Power Shell.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native workflows using modern Dev Ops tooling.
  • Advise on and implement Azure, containerization, and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies, performance requirements, system integrations, and future-state architecture.
  • Contribute to planning and estimation efforts across project phases.
  • Support and enable Inspere

    X’s AI and data initiatives using cloud-native technologies and services.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve reliability, efficiency, and security.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public cloud environment in an operational or engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI).
  • Strong experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python and/or Power Shell
    .
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Hashi Corp Terraform
    .
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns, system design, and large-scale deployments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering IT, Software Development, or infrastructure projects in medium to large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
    .
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and Dev Ops tooling, including Git, Git Hub, Jenkins, Ansible, Appveyor, Octopus, Maven
    , or similar tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Dev Ops-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and operational procedures in cloud environments.
  • Cloud certifications from one or more major providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Data Dog).
  • Experience supporting or enabling AI/ML or data-driven platforms
    .
  • Familiarity with cloud AI services and tooling such as OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or Azure AI Foundry
    .
  • Data science experience is a plus.
