Join our team in Chicago, IL as a Senior Application Security Engineer, where you will lead security initiatives in a contract role.
You’ll be responsible for integrating security controls into development processes and providing guidance on secure architectures.
Proficiency in various security testing methods and a strong background in secure coding practices are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the integration of security controls into development workflows, ensuring automated gating and scalable processes.
- Develop and enforce secure coding standards, aligning with industry best practices.
- Conduct advanced secure code reviews and provide remediation guidance for complex applications.
- Facilitate threat modeling sessions and assess architectures for security gaps.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams on secure development practices.
6-8 years of experience in application security or related fields with a strong security focus.
Expertise in secure software design principles and security controls.
Experience with CI/CD security integration and security testing tools.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages and familiarity with modern application architectures.
Experience in secure architecture design for cloud platforms.
