DevOps​/Platform Engineer - AI Ecosystem

Lenovo is building Qira, a next‑generation hybrid AI platform that spans Windows, Android, and cloud. As part of this vision, we are expanding the engineering organization supporting Qira, Lenovo's cross‑device Personal AI.

Chicago, IL;
Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for AI, platform, and application teams.
• Implement automation to reduce manual work and increase consistency.
• Contribute to infrastructure‑as‑code development for cloud and hybrid environments.

• Support the deployment and operation of infrastructure on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Help build and maintain hybrid environments spanning device, edge, and cloud.
• Assist in operating platform services that support AI inference, data pipelines, and core services.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools such as Open Telemetry and Grafana.
• Help ensure telemetry is accurate and useful for diagnosing issues.
• Build and update dashboards that reflect system health and performance.

• Support reliable deployment workflows and release processes.
• Assist with staged rollouts, canaries, and rollback procedures.
• Help improve deployment consistency and safety across environments.

• Work closely with SRE, AI/ML, security, firmware, and product engineering teams.
• Participate in design and implementation discussions with a focus on operability and automation.
• Help apply platform engineering standards and best practices.

• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience building or operating infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD systems and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Cloud Formation, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, Go, Bash, or similar).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability fundamentals (metrics, logs, tracing).

• Experience working with Azure cloud services and Dev Ops tooling.
• Familiarity with Open Telemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or similar tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML systems or data‑intensive workloads.
• Experience contributing to production operations or on‑call rotations.
• Interest in automation, platform reliability, and developer experience.

• CI/CD pipelines run reliably and support fast delivery.
• Infrastructure is automated, stable, and easy to operate.
• Monitoring and dashboards provide useful visibility into system health.
• Deployments are consistent and low‑risk.
• Engineering teams are supported by strong, dependable platform foundations.
• Qira's hybrid AI platform continues to scale smoothly and reliably.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
