D365 Senior Supply Chain & Manufacturing Functional Consultant

Avanade Inc. seeks D365 Senior Supply Chain & Manufacturing Functional Consultants in Chicago, IL. As part of Avanade’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team, you will collect information, analyze requirements, solve business process problems, provide technical and operational support to clients implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system (D365 F&O). You will lead the D365 F&O Manufacturing workstream, match business processes to application requirements, transform business requirements into an implementation model, prototype and configure applicable processes, lead workshops, collaborate with the ERP technical team to design, develop, and test custom solutions, refine business process hierarchies, document settings, prepare clients for use, and support testing, acceptance and deployment of the ERP system into day‑to‑day operation.

Periodic travel to client sites (domestic and international) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live within reasonable commuting distance to Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze requirements, solve business process problems
• Lead D365 F&O Manufacturing workstream and prototyping/ configuration
• Lead workshops with clients, consultants, and client leaders
• Collaborate with ERP technical team on custom solution development
• Refine and document business process hierarchies and application model
• Prepare clients to use D365 F&O and support testing, acceptance and deployment

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field
• At least five (5) years of experience implementing D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) in manufacturing and supply chain modules
• At least three (3) years experience managing Application Lifecycle Management using Azure Dev Ops or Team Foundation Services
• At least four (4) years experience leading manufacturing and supply chain work streams, stewardship of related business processes and presales solution design
• At least four (4) years experience designing and demonstrating functional components and scenario flows aligned to client requirements
• At least three (3) years experience conducting solution design workshops, gap analysis and prototyping
• At least three (3) years experience estimating functional work streams and advising delivery teams during solution design phases
• At least three (3) years domain expertise in ERP manufacturing covering end‑to‑end supply chain processes within D365
