This leader will be accountable for building, adopting, and maturing the Reliability Engineering (RE) tools, practices, and automation of Dev Sec Ops  to enable Build to Run model of the future on the cloud.

He/she will lead a team of five direct reports and about 15-20 onshore and offshore engineers and vendor production support resources. The leader and his/her team will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining the cloud automation capabilities to enable infrastructure provisioning, application availability, testing, quality, application deployment, resiliency, recovery, and efficiency of core IT applications.

Enable automated triage and guided remediation through integration of observability platforms with ITSM (incident, problem, and change workflows), ensuring actions are auditable and safely executed. Success should be measured with operational outcomes such as reduced MTTD/MTTR, fewer repeat incidents, improved change success rate, and higher availability/SLO attainment.
  • Build tools and capabilities needed by cloud engineering teams to optimize development, providing advancement in technology and efficiency for application teams.
  • Foster an engineering culture with extreme automation across the technology stack and application footprints, across traditional and modern architectures, resulting in enhanced developer experience and IT productivity improvements.
  • Support cloud needs with improvements in performance, scalability, resiliency, reliability, stability, and observability, delivering on end-user requirements and continuously modernizing services to improve developer productivity, automation, and reduce operational cost.
  • Provide support for the cloud transformation, adoption, and maturity of reliability engineering within teams (roles, skills, automation, processes). Help enable support functions to shift left from Infrastructure to CIO application teams.
  • People Leader and Strategic Partner – develop and maintain a sustainable organization through hiring, performance management, coaching and development of a multi-discipline organization, including managing strategic business and vendor partner relationships to create value for the organization.
  • Lead transformational change management by championing automation adoption and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Partner with CIO teams across LOBs enabling broader engineering teams with necessary tools, best practices, foundational capabilities to mature end-to-end automation and position the organization for a future operating model.
