Key Responsibilities- Provide AWS customers with deep technical expertise and strategic guidance to effectively use AWS Database Services.
- Collaborate with specialist sales, marketing, and product teams to develop innovative solutions for customers.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers' executives.
- Lead architectural reviews and workshops focused on common use cases and industry best practices.
- Design and architect complex database solutions based on relational or non‑relational technologies.
- Champion industry best practices through technical thought leadership content.
- Present at key industry events including AWS re:
Invent and AWS Summit. - Educate customers on the AWS value proposition for data management.
- Provide feedback to AWS product teams on customer requirements and serve as point of contact for urgent technical issues.
- Stay current with emerging trends in database, analytics, and generative AI technologies.
- Travel approximately 25% within the US to support customer and stakeholder needs.
- 8+ years of experience in technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders.
- 10+ years of database experience (SQL, No
SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) or a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
- Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
- Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
