** Job Duties*
* + Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.

+ Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

+ Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers.

+ Create and maintain databases of known defects.

+ Participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.

+ Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions.

+ Perform system/quality assurance testing to identify key failure points for applications.

+ Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

+ Integrate testing and user acceptance testing.

+ Perform system/quality assurance testing to identify key failure points for applications.

+ Track and resolve issues to ensure the delivery of project.

+ Coordinate with the application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.

+ Evaluate software for testing or bug tracking.

+ Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.

** Requirements*
* + Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Math, Business, Technology(any), or related, and 2 years of experience in Information Technology (IT)/engineering or IT-related consulting/business.

+ Alternatively, we will accept a Bachelor's or equivalent in any field other than the above-listed fields and 3 years of experience in the above occupations.

+ Additionally, all candidates must have 1 year of experience in any 4 tools/technologies across the following categories with at least 2 from one category:
Programming Languages and Web Technologies;
Development Frameworks and Tools;
Databases;
Data Management;
Cloud Services & Dev Ops;
Networking;
Enterprise Software and Business Applications;
Testing & QA Tools;
Security & Compliance Tools;
Integration Services;
Project Management Methodologies & Tools;

Mobile Development. (All experience/skills may be acquired concurrently).

Position is based out of our HQ in Chicago, IL & subject to relocation to unanticipated US worksites, with financial assistance. Telecommuting 2-3 days per week permitted, dependent on business needs. Domestic travel for meetings as needed (approximately 5%).
