The Metropolitan at the 9 is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to support our day-to-day technology operations. This entry-level internship is ideal for a student or individual looking to gain hands-on experience in information technology within the hospitality industry. The IT Intern will assist with basic technical support, system maintenance, and general IT tasks while learning from experienced staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide basic technical support for hotel staff (e.g., computers, printers, phones, and Wi-Fi issues)
Assist with setting up and maintaining workstations, user accounts, and hardware
Help troubleshoot common software and connectivity issues
Support routine IT maintenance, updates, and inventory tracking
Assist with documentation of systems, procedures, and support requests
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT personnel
Follow hotel IT policies, security procedures, and confidentiality guidelines
Perform other related duties as assigned
QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or recently completed coursework in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Basic understanding of computers, operating systems, and common software (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
