Lead Test Engineer / Dev Ops Engineer

The Lead Test Engineer / Dev Ops Engineer drives cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, deployment reliability, and continuous testing across a modern engineering environment. The role is Dev Ops forward: building scalable pipelines, managing development environments, improving automation, and ensuring high quality software delivery. Testing leadership supports this mission by validating system performance and maintaining strong quality practices. You’ll develop and maintain appropriate data management systems and store relevant data.

As

a Dev-Ops Engineer and Test Lead, you will:
  • Design, implement, and maintain repositories and development infrastructure
  • Build, optimize, and administer CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab preferred)
  • Manage Git workflows, branching strategies, and repository structure
  • Automate build, test, validation, and deployment processes
  • Support system monitoring, reliability, backups, and troubleshooting
  • Improve deployment automation, release processes, and security practices
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline engineering workflows
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD and Dev Ops pipelines
  • Ensure storing and retrieval of relevant documents, software sources and define rules on how to manage the data
  • Lead software, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Develop test strategies, plans, procedures, and automated scripts
  • Drive defect tracking, root cause analysis, and release readiness
  • Maintain test documentation, traceability, and quality metrics
  • Manage application database
  • Analyze the current testing process and practices and drive improvements
  • Define testability requirements
  • Provide testing infrastructure requirements
  • Drive integration of testing infrastructure with the System Under Test
  • Guide and coach system and software architects and development teams in testing related topics
  • Define and implement an effective test strategy for the project, aligned with the business and quality goals
  • Define and maintain an effective and efficient test architecture
  • Ensure quality of the test code
  • Manage the internal quality of the whole testing environment
You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ years in Dev Ops, cloud engineering, or software/system testing
  • Hands on experience with shell scripting, and CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and cloud security fundamentals
  • Troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Docker and Git Lab CI/CD administration
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • Automated test frameworks and continuous testing
  • Agile/Scrum experience and enterprise scale deployment support

The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
