Your key responsibilities
The Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services (IAAS) practice is a market leading service, covering all segments of the property/casualty and life/health insurance industries. We'll look to you to support our Client Engagement teams, performing diverse range of actuarial tasks, including financial modelling, loss reserving, financial and regulatory reporting, product development and pricing analysis, litigation support, customer analytics, rate setting and other consulting projects.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in an actuarial science, finance, or mathematics related field, supported by a strong academic record
- Strong preference for at least 2 actuarial exams passed
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members and clients
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Relevant prior internship experience in the actuarial field
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- A purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset, and a proven ability to innovate, adapt, and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Excel VBA, R, Python)
- Collaborative problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology to positively influence global and domestic business operations.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

- The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $40.19- $41.11 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
