Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Sr Cybersecurity GRC Associate to join their team. As a Sr Cybersecurity GRC Associate, you will be part of the Security and Compliance Department supporting the organization’s cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a strong commitment to fostering a security‑conscious culture, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Sr Cybersecurity GRC Associate
Location: Chicago, IL or Austin, TX
Pay Range: $130,000 - $130,000
What’s the Job?- Maintain and enhance the organization’s Information Security Policy Framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26001, NIST, and CIS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote understanding, adoption, and enforcement of security policies across the organization.
- Implement and operate GRC platforms, creating automated workflows, processes, and documentation to streamline security governance activities.
- Perform enterprise risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support third‑party risk assessments and oversee ongoing oversight activities to ensure third‑party compliance and security posture.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, MBCI, or FBCI preferred.
- 3‑6+ years of experience in cybersecurity GRC and/or Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery roles, ideally within financial services.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Experience working in fast‑paced environments with a focus on strategic and tactical security initiatives.
