Data Protection Sr. Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support client engagements focused on data protection, data governance, and compliance initiatives.
• Assist with configuration and administration of Microsoft Purview capabilities such as sensitivity labels/encryption, DLP policies, data classification/discovery, and Insider Risk Management.
• Participate in requirements gathering, workshops, and documentation efforts.
• Execute assigned tasks within project plans and contribute to on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Develop technical documentation, configuration guides, and client‑ready deliverables.
• Actively pursue learning, certifications, and hands‑on experience in data protection technologies.
• Contribute to emerging areas such as AI and agentic AI security under guidance.

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Exposure to Microsoft
  365 or Azure environments; prior internship or academic project in security or compliance is a plus.
• Microsoft security‑related certifications preferred (e.g., SC‑900, AB‑900, AI‑901).
• Developing knowledge of Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, DLP, and data governance) and Microsoft
  365 security and compliance fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Copilot/AI data risk considerations and emerging security controls.
• Basic understanding of data classification/labeling, DLP policies and rules, and regulatory concepts (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA awareness level).
• Power Shell scripting or automation exposure is a plus.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn; able to take direction and incorporate feedback.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and quality.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast‑paced consulting environment.

Competitive base salary ranges depending on location and experience:

• California: $84,800 to $100,700
• Cleveland: $69,091 to $82,046
• Colorado: $69,091 to $82,046
• District of Columbia: $88,000 to $104,500
• Illinois: $84,800 to $100,700
• Maryland: $88,000 to $104,500
• Massachusetts: $88,000 to $104,500
• Minnesota: $84,800 to $100,700
• New York: $92,800 to $110,200
• New Jersey: $84,800 to $100,700
• Washington: $88,000 to $104,500
